I was a student at the Art Institute while Mark was Academic Director of the WDIM program. He was my biggest fan and helped push me to do bigger and better things. He was one of the people that made me start my WEB DESIGN business and I continue to look to him for advice and direction within my field of work.

Mark was an adviser, teacher, role model, and friend when I need one. He allowed his students to be individuals who saw the trends of the times but understood the basics of design and creativity.

Besides being a detail-oriented project manager who never loses sight of either the bottom line nor the strategic mission, Mark Harris has deep knowledge and broad experience in driving digital design and communications technology initiatives. At UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, I could always count on Mark to lead the pack to get there on time, and under budget.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mark at the Art Institute of Ohio-Cincinnati, when I brought him on board as a faculty member. It was evident early on that Mark was the right individual to build and grow the electronic media department and was promoted to the Academic Director. Quite simply, he was a valuable member of campus, a well-liked and well-respected individual with a strong work ethic who cares deeply about the growth and development of students. Mark was a quick learner who went to great lengths to develop his skills and immerse himself in the profession. While these items speak to his ability to meet his professional responsibilities, Mark stands out among the rest even further in the manner in which he interacts with others and brings people together.

Mark was the department Academic Director when I was hired in as an adjunct instructor and he provided the support and encouragement I needed to do my job to the best of my abilities. He was actively involved in my development as an instructor and my relationship with the students. Mark’s dedication to his work was also evident in his willingness to meet with students and other faculty with little or no notice, put in long hours in his office, and act as a substitute instructor when needed. Combined with his enthusiastic demeanor and high energy level, I think Mark would have a positive impact on whatever he does and the people he works with.

I've worked with Mark for a long time and he's saved me a lot of trouble. His advice regarding the inner workings of the Mac system and data retreval have kept us connected for many years. I rely upon his knowlege for the finner points of the unexplainable, which in turn helps me sleep much better in the long run.

Mark and I go way back to when I was teaching graphic design at the Computer Graphics Center at University of Cincinnati DAAP. Mark was always helpful preparing the classroom and lab area for my students use. Years later, as Academic Director, he hired me to be a graphic design instructor at The Art Institute of Ohio - Cincinnati. Mark always had an open door policy and could really talk to the students. He spend considerable time and effort to make the school the place it is today.

Mark is dedicated and knowledgeable but his communication skills really set him apart. Because of this, he works very well across many departments and, in particular, I found him to be an invaluable contact for technology-related issues within the academic department.

Mark is an amazing manger of creative people and also a very talented creative in his own right. He understands design and is wizard with typography. While working at The Art Institute I looked forward to our meetings as I always learned a lot and felt like he cared about my feedback and how I was doing with the students. I would jump at the opportunity to work with Mark again in the future and recommend him to any team you might be considering him for. Brian Bowen

Mark was a great AD for me. He allowed me to be creative with the design of the classes I taught in his program as long as I met the key requirements in the syllabus. He was always prepared for me if there were to be any changes for that evening and he gave me the support that I needed. I terminated my involvement when the program was no longer in his portfolio. That's how much I believed in his approach. There's none quite like him.
