Third employee in R&D, I headed 3 algorithm-heavy fields in development and production:
 • Ad ordering - creating an automated mechanism for assessing ad performance and optimizing display order and frequency for each ad based on numerous parameters
 • Anti-fraud - analysis of various potential predictors for user intent, and assessment of efficacy and cost of numerous counter-measures
 • Anti-competitive analysis - survey of various vulnerabilities to competitive analysis, and implementation of counter-measures
 • I worked directly with the heads of all departments to ensure that complex business needs and requirements are optimally addressed by the production system.

Logic Industries Ltd as a Development Group Leader
I joined Logic, a ~400 person company in the homeland security industry, to lead the Client Development group in a large-scale Command & Control project. Unfortunately, due to a merger with another company the project scope was drastically reduced and I decided to leave the position.

The developed system was a rich interface Command & Control client with advanced displays such as 2D/3D GIS maps and Streaming Video, utilizing a modular architecture for support of several products based over the same infrastructure.

 • Product Requirement analysis and Technical Requirement formulation
 • Software Architecture and Work Plan definition
 • Third party development tool evaluation
 • Supervision of development in C#, focusing on GUI in WPF over the Composite Application Library.

Near is a very smart guy with the ability to quickly understand and simplify complex systems. He is able to coordinate customer needs (as opposed to customer’s requests) with the company’s priorities. As a Product Manager Near worked directly with both Digital Fuel’s customers and developers. His job included gathering high level requirements and following through the execution details. Given Near’s professional and personal skills, I would be glad to work with him in the future.

I know Near from the period of working together in Logic. I was the development manager and I recruit Near to lead the client group for developing a new C4I system. Near is professional, motivated, fast learner, hard worker and autodidact person. Near took upon himself the whole process of recruiting the UI team, team leaders and programmers. I could always rely on Near to do a professional work and gave him major management and technological tasks. Near is an asset to any team both professionally and socially.

I was Near's commander in the Talpiot program during his third year – the final year of the training. During this year Near showed a great deal of creativity, an enthusiasm towards initiating projects, being in charge of the activities for searching positions for his class after graduation. All along he had the willingness to step forward and get the job done. He did all that with a very friendly attitude and good inter personal relations. I would recommend his management and personal skills without hesitation.
